Food Stamps, now called SNAP, are a nutritional supplement and have no cash value. You do not need to have a child support order on file to receive them according to the Federal Regulations of the USDA. Each County can have requirements of their own and Florida may have some other requirements, but this sounds completely wrong. I would recommend going up the chain of command in the DCF office because the worker you talked with could have made a mistake.
