Can anyone tell me what it means when it says service type: non enforceable and paper type: sum/petition?
I'm in Broward County in FL (Ft. Lauderdale area) and someone is trying to serve us what I imagine is a subpoena/petition from the Attorney General of the Dept of Children and Families (DCF) and when I search for papers to be served to my name online at sheriff.org it says Service Type: Non-Enforceable and Paper Type: Sum/Petition, Does anyone know what they are trying to serve me and can anyone elaborate on Non-Enforceable (I mean if it's non-enforceable and they try to require services, do I have to comply)? If anyone can answer this it would be greatly appreciated and if you are a lawyer in my area and it turns out I need an attorney, I will consider hiring you (given you know the law and what you're talking about and if you think you can get me out of this). After all, I did nothing wrong, I can go into more detail later on but to make a long story short I fractured my arm, my long time boyfriend (father of my children) was arrested and the charges were declined to insufficient evidence. Also, he has been arrested a few times before, but he has never been convicted of anything. Thanks, appreciate any help. Have a great weekend!
